The NIE (Número de Identificación de Extranjero) is an essential identification number for non-residents in Spain. It's required for various important activities, such as purchasing property, opening a bank account, or receiving an inheritance.

Once we receive all your information and documents, we will schedule an appointment with the Policía Nacional for your NIE application. You can choose to attend the appointment yourself, or we can attend on your behalf with the power of attorney. Typically, you will receive your NIE number within 2-3 weeks.
Immediately after the appointment, you will receive a scanned copy of the official document via email, which includes a CSV code. With this code, you can directly download the original document with your NIE number from the Policía Nacional website. This allows you to instantly verify the authenticity of your NIE number.

You do not need to have an address in Spain to apply for an NIE number.
Once we receive all your information and documents, we will schedule an appointment with the Policía Nacional for your NIE application. You can choose to attend the appointment yourself, or we can attend on your behalf with the power of attorney. Typically, you will receive your NIE number within 2-3 weeks.
When you choose our Comfort service, we handle the entire process for you. We will attend the appointment in Spain on your behalf to apply for your NIE number, meaning you don't need to be in Spain. However, if you select our Explore or Buddy services, you will need to be present in Spain for the appointment.
Within two hours after your application, you will receive a power of attorney from us. You need to sign this and have it legalized at a notary. You will do the same with a copy of your passport. Finally, you will obtain an apostille for the power of attorney at any court or notary. You then send these two documents along with a passport photo to our address in Spain.
When you have documents legalized through a notary, you pay an average of 50 euros per document. You can obtain the apostille at a court of your choice in the Netherlands for 25 euros, or through an (online) notary, for example via notarity.
This requirement is only applicable for the Comfort service. It is necessary to prove in Spain that the power of attorney is genuinely from you.
If you reside in the Netherlands, you can obtain this at any court without an appointment. If you live outside the Netherlands, you can obtain it through a notary of your choice.
In some cases, it is necessary, such as when enrolling a child in a daycare or school. However, a minor does not need an NIE number to purchase a property. Unlike many competitors, we can also handle the application for minors.
You will receive a scan of the document from us, which includes your NIE number and a 'CSV' code. By entering this code on the official Spanish police website, you can download the original document with your NIE number. This action automatically authenticates the document's authenticity.
